garuda-update is Garuda Linux’s preferred update solution. The program allows Garuda Linux to apply certain hotfixes and update automations for a smoother experience.
Keeping Garuda Linux up-to-date is important. garuda-update makes it easy. Executing garuda-update in a terminal will start the update proceedure.

The user account that
garuda-updateis executed from must have root access through sudo, but the script does not have to be run as root.
In the background, the pacman package manager is used to facilitate the system update.
garuda-update is a tool specifically designed for Garuda Linux with automation in mind. Instead of announcements on forums or the website like many distributions, Garuda Linux instead believes in the philosophy that such scenarios should be avoided, automated, or in the worst case, communicated directly on-system.
